Enduring the Wild

Story:

While on a three day ski tour in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland, we had to cross the Glacier de la Plaine Morte on our final day. After fresh snow the previous day, the going was slow, but the untouched nature of the landscape was superb. When I saw the potential for making this image, I let my companions go ahead and used a longer focal length to isolate them against the winter landscape.
